Club Captain 2026  - Jake Grogan

First and foremost, I want to say what an absolute honour it is to be your Club Captain for 2026.

This club isn't just a place where we play golf, it’s a community, a family and a home for so many of us.

I'd like to begin by thanking our outgoing captain Bob Ford for his dedication, leadership and tireless work over the past year. You’ve left big shoes to fill and I'll do my best to continue the great work you’ve done.

I am looking forward to working with our Committee, our Pro Shop team – Mark Templeman & Nick Burbridge, the Greenkeepers, the 19th hole and of course working with my chosen Vice Captain Sean Briant.

Looking ahead, my goal is simple, to make every member feel valued, involved and proud to be part of our Club.

I also want to highlight my chosen Captain’s charity for the year - Don't Lose Hope - it’s a cause close to my heart that focuses on mental health. I hope together we can raise both awareness and funds through our golfing calendar.

Finally I want to say this - golf is more than a sport, it’s about friendship, respect and shared moments. Let’s make this year one to remember filled with great golf and laughter.

Thank you for your trust, your support and making this club as special as it is now. I look forward to playing alongside you all in the months ahead and of course, catching up in the 19th Hole. If you didn’t already know, Guinness is a great way to start a conversation with me.

Here’s to a fantastic year and let’s enjoy every swing.
