TLGC Competition Rules

"Play the ball as it lies, play the course as you find it, and if you cannot do either, do what is fair.

But to do what is fair, you need to know the Rules of Golf"

General

The dates of all competitions are published in the Club Diary - 2026

All competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the R & A and with local rules as may be approved by the Main Club Committee.

All members of Thorney Lakes Golf Club who have qualified for the Club Championship and comply with paragraphs 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 of the Club Constitution are eligible to play.

Buggies will be allowed on medical grounds by agreement of the Section Committee.

Each player is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their own scorecard and recording of scores on the computer. Scorecards incorrectly completed may result in disqualification.

Sly Salvers - Pre Qualification Required - Derek Sly Salver, James Sly Salver

Pairs Betterball Competitions - Applicable to ATS Cup, Husband & Wife Cup,

Family Greensomes, Peacock Pairs, Famous Grouse, Members' Pairs Stableford
